Great! HomeFinders always has a number of beautiful, friendly and social adoptable pets!

Although we do a lot of kitty work, we do have dogs and other small animals (rabbits) in our program on a regular basis - and if we don't, we would be happy to refer you to other local rescues who may have your new best friend!

After viewing our pets on Petfinder (see below), you may wonder how you can meet one of our wonderful animals!

HomeFinders does not have a physical shelter, we operate via a network of commited foster homes who provide loving, temporary homes! Once we have recieved your adoption application we will set up a time for you to meet the animal(s) you are interested in at their foster home, where you can also talk to their foster-parent and find out all the little details!

Although many animals are housed at our main foster location in SE Vancouver, we do have fosters throughout the Lower Mainland - so some kitties may be fostered in Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, etc.

ALL animals in our program are spayed/neutered prior to adoption - even kittens and puppies! Our vets are excellent & confident performing pediatric surgeries - and these little guys recover much faster too! This is part of how we are trying to stop the pet overpopulation problem in BC - by making sure none of our babies ever add to it!

Adoption involves a couple of steps - we have an application to fill out, we request references, and more.

Once we've all decided a certain pet is "the one" for you - there is an adoption fee to pay and contract to sign.

Our adoption fee includes all veterinary care to the date of adoption; all of our animals are examined, spayed/neutered, updated on vaccines or given the first one, dewormed/treated preventively for fleas, microchipped, come with a new pet kit and a certificate for a free exam at your (participating) veterinarian! In some cases animals are given further care while staying with us; from simple blood tests to dentistry or surgery if needed, we do our best to make sure your new family member is as healthy as possible!
